Una Healy spills on how her ‘throuple’ with David Haye and Sian Osborne worked

Former The Saturdays singer Una Healy has revealed the truth behind the logistics of her hugely publicised throuple with former boxer David Haye and model Sian Osborne.

The 41-year-old mum of two met former cruiserweight champion David, 42, on celebrity dating app Raya, but claims she had no idea initially that Sian was part of the package.

Shortly after connecting, they started chatting on WhatsApp. “I said, ‘What are you looking for in a relationship?’” she revealed.

“And he said, ‘Well, I’ve just split up with my girlfriend and I’m single, but I don’t believe that the traditional relationship exists anymore’.”

Una then explained that her feelings differed from David’s outlook, saying: “I’m a monogamous person and hopefully, one day, I will settle down with a nice monogamous man.

“So I said to him, ‘Good luck with that. We can just be friends anyway’,” the singer confessed on the My Therapist Ghosted Me Podcast.

Despite this, they met up when Una was in London, where he took her on a “lovely date”. She recalled there was still no mention of the throuple from David, although she was aware she wasn’t the only woman in his life.

“It was casual, it wasn’t serious. I was happy enough with it. It was in a romantic capacity. It was lovely,” she said.

“He was very honest that I wasn’t the only woman he was seeing. At least I knew he was being honest,” she continued.

“It’s not like I was being cheated on and I was like, ‘I know he’s not husband material so this is just a bit of fun’. And I was enjoying it.”

It then transpired that Sian was in the picture and David was keen for the two women to meet.

“I did meet her, and she was a really nice girl,” Una admitted. “I didn’t get to know her very well . . . I wasn’t romantic with her.”

Revealing that bringing Sian on the break wasn’t her idea, Una recalled: “I was like, ‘Please will you come away with me?’ He said, ‘OK, but Sian’s coming too’.

“I would have rather it was just me and him, but she’s a nice girl, so I said she can come too.”

During this trip, pictures emerged of the three of them posing on the beach and the news of their relationship went public, but despite this, Una had no idea what the term throuple actually meant, leading her to look it up on Google.

She then visited Sian and David while they were holidaying in Costa Rica in January, which led to the realisation that she had to escape the complex relationship.

“I was like, ‘You know what? I’m out. This isn’t for me. You can have him’. He can have whoever he wants, because one will never be enough for him.”

“He calls it ‘unsubscribing from the team’. So, I got back [home to Ireland] I was like, ‘I’ve unsubscribed’. He was like, ‘Fair enough, you do what makes you happy’.

“I really enjoyed my relationship with him, and he is actually a really nice guy. He was very kind to me, very honest, but it ran its course and I’ve been single ever since.”
